Shark Watch SA to Feature Stand at SA Boat & Fishing Show (Adelaide 4WD & Adventure Show) on Oct 24 - 26

In another exciting first, Shark Watch SA will feature at this years Boat & Fishing Show being hosted at the Adelaide Showgrounds this weekend on October 24 - 26. The event will give the community a uniquely personal opportunity to learn more about our ongoing projects since storming back into the social media spotlight in December 2024, by meeting the team and discussing relevant matters to state-wide shark mitigation and research. Guests will be treated to free merch, as well as the release of our three year plan to transform South Australia's community shark awareness and bite mitigation strategies using practical citizen science and game-changing innovation. This is an exclusive release that will be shared at the event on the weekend prior to public social media announcements.

A stand and Shark Watch SA flag will be erected in the "Fishing Zone" inside the Adelaide Showground complex at the F2 site in front of the Jubilee Pavilion. Attendees are set to include Shark Watch Founding Director, Anton Covino, Community Engagement Ambassador, Amber Everett (on Friday), and Marine Biologist, Maria Antioneta Galindo (on Saturday and Sunday). Special discussions about the algal bloom will also be held alongside other neighbouring fishing and marine experts.

The show will be held from October 24 - 26 at the Adelaide Showgrounds open

from 9am - 5pm daily.
